We celebrate our heritage
We celebrate our heritage

Staff of the SA National Council for the Blind recently celebrated Heritage Day on 5 October 2012, something that is now becoming an annual tradition. Staff members are encouraged to celebrate and share their respective cultures by dressing up in traditional clothing and to offer samples of traditional cultural dishes for all to taste.
The different cultural groups represented at Council embraced the opportunity to showcase their cultures with enthusiasm and entertained each other with their respective traditional music, dancing and even poetry.
This year we were truly fortunate to have the Senior Management Institute coincide with Council’s Heritage day. Delegates from other African Countries were able to also share their cultures with us.
We are truly fortunate to celebrate our diversity with such freedom and we hope and trust that this will in future evolve into a truly democratic, and rich unified South African culture.
