Fun Walk took place on Friday 15 October during which Council managed to not only raise awareness for visually impaired road users and of Visually Impaired Persons (VIPs) themselves, but also to create the opportunity to raise funds.
My School/My Village sponsored R100 per participant registered, which is used to subsidise assistive devices for persons with visual impairments, and they also donated 30 t-shirts which served as prizes for the first 30 VIPs who finished the walk.

Old Mutual Personal Financial Advice's Centurion branch offered volunteer services and helped with arrangements for the walk and the picnic as part of their contribution to last year's Do It Day initiative. They also sponsored the picnic food. We are very grateful for their contribution and we enjoyed their participation, friendliness and desire to help.

Standard Bank donated water bottles, caps and picnic bags which made the day a lot of fun.
