What will you be doing for the next 30 minutes?

That’s how long it takes a surgeon to lift the veil of haziness and restore sight to a person blinded by cataracts.

If you click here now, you’ll help us perform 5 sight-restoring surgeries every 30 minutes (with our medical teams working 10 hours per day) between 6 and 10 October, during Eye Care Awareness Month. That means every hour, 10 blind people will be able to see again!

At that rate, our Bureau for the Prevention of Blindness will reach the week’s target of 490 surgeries – or 98 surgeries a day. We can even exceed that amount if more caring people like you support us!

If you click here now, we’ll also use your gift to conduct low vision screenings to detect eye health problems. The people who cannot be assisted by conventional glasses or surgery, can still be assisted by a low vision screening which can introduce them to assistive devices like magnifiers and telescopes, and provide assistance for these people in using their residual vision.

So please don't delay - click here right now to visit our secure online giving facility – and restore the gift of sight, one surgery
at a time.

Thank you
